Hi there and welcome to the wonderful world of Kokodakota. A world of colour, exquisite fabrics and trims.

After 20 years running a successful fashion company ,our founder and designer, Maxine Benatar, decided to take a leap of faith and free herself from the fashion treadmill. And so Kokodakota was born in 2017.

This clothing line follows no specific colour palettes ,seasons or fashion trends but rather puts emphasis on designs that are timeless, effortless, feminine and versatile.By combining her love of travel with her love for fabrics Maxine was able to create unique pieces of clothing that you will live in and love.

Our clothing is multifunctional and can easily  be dressed up or down to suit any and every occasion. We don't mass produce and are committed to ethical clothing practice which is why most of our clothing is produced here in Cape Town supporting local industry .

Kokodakota means Beyond The city ,and that is exactly how we want you to feel when wearing our garments, clothing that feels like a holiday the minute you put it on!

Due to the nature of the fabrics sourced  often the same style will be available in several print options, with no two being the same .This is what makes Kokodakota unique.
